Pound Euro exchange rate falls as BoE warns of global ‘rut’

The pound fell against the euro today, with the pairing trading around €1.157 as the Bank of England left interest rates on hold in its last monetary policy meeting before the December 12 election. The central bank left interest rates unchanged at 0.75 percent, with seven out of nine policymakers voting to leave rates on hold.
